This is the 3rd quilt. I thought of using the leftover piano keys but it didn't look right. I think another quietish border will look good. I don't have a fabric in the colour or style I'm looking for. My friends have offered me to "shop" in their stashes. If I have no luck, I may have to break down and purchase fabric.
I am now working on the 5" crumb blocks. This is them without sashing. Way too busy.
This will be them with sashing. And if I cut the 5" width leftover piano keys into 5" lengths, I will have enough 5" blocks for an entire quilt. So definitely will need to buy sashing fabric.
And these are the 2" squares sewn into rows of 4. On the far right you can see how they will look as 16 patches. And the four patch of the pieces triangles. But that's for another day.
