Unpicking and Finishing

Sewing the trim on one of the Project 75 quilts was difficult.  The trim kept moving and the result was not what I had wanted.

Also, the idea behind the P75 was to make the blocks, finish them and let them go, either to sell or gift.  And the quilts would not have sold nor would anyone want to receive them as a gift, IMHO.

So I started unpicking on Monday.  Today is Thursday.  The work physically does not take that much time but my hands can only unpick so much before they cramp up.  So all in all, it didn't take that long.  And the builk of work was removing the trim and removing from the felt background.

The next four should take less time.

So on the first unpicked quilt, I still have to remove all the excess threads.  And it is a good chance to take one last look to check if there is something that could need another bead or stitch.

Also the size of each unfinished block is approx. 8 3/4".  I think I will trim them down to 8 1/2" so the finished block will be 8".

But not today - my hands are shaking too much.
